Freshers' Drinks is a fun, friendly and informal chance to meet the current members of the society and to have a little chat with fellow Who fans, replete with free drinks and snacks - a fantastic way to kick off the new academic year and to make some new friends. As if that wasn't enough, we're following it up with a mind-bending Matt Smith adventure - the TARDIS lands in what appears to be a fairly shabby hotel, but the rooms full of psychological horrors, the shifting hallways and the Minotaur stalking the corridors make checking out deadly...

This week, we drop in on the Third Doctor and meet one of the show's most iconic companions for the first time, along with one of its most enduring enemies. The Doctor, investigating the disappearance of several prominent scientists, uncovers a Sontaran plot in the Middle Ages and a stowaway in the TARDIS - intrepid young journalist Sarah Jane Smith...

The Seventh Doctor The First Doctor
The Rescue and Ghost Light
In this week's double bill, we first meet the First Doctor as he lands on a planet where nothing is quite as it seems. A spaceship has crashed, all but two of the crew are dead, and the survivors are being threatened by a ominous alien figure...
In the second story, we join the Seventh Doctor and Ace, as they visit an ominous house that had a significant impact on Ace's life. With mysterious things in the cellar, a collection of damaged and dangerous occupants and a cold and enigmatic owner, it soon becomes apparent that this house has an impossible history of its own...
4th Week Thursday 6th November, 8pm

The Tenth Doctor
Midnight and The Lazarus Experiment
We have a David Tennant double bill this week, with two episodes showing off the range that his episodes could reach. First up is Midnight - with the Doctor having dropped Donna off at a spa, he decides on a nice holiday, travelling across the surface of an irradiated and lifeless planet in a reinforced bus with a charming collection of humans. However, when the impossible knocking starts, the drivers are lost and the atmosphere within the bus reaches a fever pitch, humanity could prove to be the Doctor’s greatest threat.
Secondly, in The Lazarus Experiment, the Doctor and Martha attend an elegant party to celebrate an impossible innovation - Professor Richard Lazarus has managed to turn back the ravages of age. However, the process goes inevitably wrong, and the Doctor and Martha have to confront the man who would change what it means to be human...

The Geek Quiz
As always, Fifth Week sees us host the legendary Geek Quiz. A collection of Oxford's finest, taken from a selection of the geekiest societies, meets up to compete for the prestige and the honour of being "the team who won that term". Everyone’s welcome to come along and compete - if you want to write a round of questions that isn’t just related to Doctor Who, then please feel free to bring that along.

The Ninth Doctor The Fifth Doctor
Boom Town and The Awakening
First up this week is a visit to Cardiff with the Ninth Doctor, where a familiar face has become mayor and has pushed forward a nuclear programme amid a spate of suspicious deaths. As the Doctor dines with a monster, he is forced to ask himself a serious question - does he have the right to deliver a death sentence?
Then we join with the Fifth Doctor, as a sleepy country village holds a Civil War re-enactment that threatens to hurtle out of control. An ancient evil begins to awaken beneath the Church, and the consequences of the battles threaten to become all too real...

Regenerations Marathon
This term's marathon follows the theme of regeneration - some of the most pivotal episodes in Doctor Who history. Join us as we make our way through The War Games (Second Doctor), Logopolis (Fourth Doctor), The Caves of Androzani (Fifth Doctor), The Night of the Doctor (Eighth Doctor) and The Day of the Doctor (War Doctor, Tenth Doctor and Eleventh Doctor)

The Fourth Doctor
The Horns of Nimon
Eighth Week is (just about) Eighties Week! Join us to see the very first episodes broadcast in the Eighties, as the Fourth Doctor battles the Nimon, a monster with a mythical edge. As the Doctor, Romana and K9 seek to untangle their labyrinthine plot, we are also treated to one of the great villainous performances of all time, in the form of Graham Crowden's legendary turn as Soldeed. All together now - "YOU FOOLS! YOU’RE ALL DOOMED! DOOOOOMED!"
