The Advanced ECDL Presentations module builds on a user's basic competence in widely used software applications and equips them with expert skills.

What does the Presentations module cover?

This module is aimed at individuals who need to use advanced tools in any of the widely available presentation packages to prepare high quality audio-visual presentations. The content covers editing, charts and graphics, presentation management, customisation, special tools and macros, and includes:

Understanding design considerations
the need to plan the presentation according to the audience, venue, subject matter and other considerations, and how to select the most suitable presentation options for each occasion
Creating a slide presentation
including templates, backgrounds and other effects
Managing pictures, images and drawn objects
using advanced functions, such as graduated fills, textures, re-scaling, copying and re-applying styles
Creating and managing charts and graphs
using a range of formats and features to customise data presentation
Creating and inserting multimedia effects
including sounds, animation and movies
Managing presentations
including interactive links to external content, continuous looped slideshows and other customisation
Creating macros and using auto text functions
to automate frequently used processes to raise productivity and ensure consistency

Advanced ECDL Presentations at OUCS

OUCS will send your employees courseware in advance, enabling them to prepare for the intensive training/testing day by working through practice exercises (using example computer files).

They will sit two practice exams on the training/testing day, assisted by OUCS trainers who will work through any issues with them before they take the actual examination.
