What does the Word Processing module cover?

This module is aimed at individuals who need to use advanced tools in any of the widely available word processing packages to prepare reports, newsletters, forms and other documents. The content covers editing, layout, document organisation, document elements, special tools and printing, and includes:

Advanced editing functions
including templates, formatting and tracking changes to manage collaborative working on a document
Layout options
including master documents, tables of contents and multiple column layouts
Document organisation
including referencing, field codes, footnotes and endnotes, and managing password protection for document security
Creation and management of interactive forms
with check boxes, drop-down menus and other options
Mailmerge
including editing a data file and merging a document with a data source
Creating macros and using auto text functions
to automate frequently used processes to raise productivity and ensure consistency

Advanced ECDL Word Processing at OUCS

OUCS will send your employees courseware in advance, enabling them to prepare for the intensive training/testing day by working through practice exercises (using example computer files).

They will sit two practice exams on the training/testing day, assisted by OUCS trainers who will work through any issues with them before they take the actual examination.
