names such as 'Wulnoth' and 'Ulf'.

Daubeny Lecture Theatre, Magdalen |
- Revelation of the Daleks
- The Sixth Doctor and Peri arrive on the planet Necros to visit a deceased acquaintance of the

human occupants, especially when it becomes clear that the Daleks are involved.

- The Stones of Blood
- The Stones of Blood, part of the bigger story arc of The Key to Time,

North Quad Lecture Room, St. John's |
- The Geek Quiz
- In the legendary Geek Quiz, members of Oxford's geekiest societies get together in order to battle
it out for the crown of "team who won that term". Be there and not feel square for once (unless your round foxes

|
6th Week |
Thursday 23rd February, 8pm
St. John's MCR |
- Inferno
- This week, we hope to watch the seven-episode Pertwee story, Inferno. Project Inferno, that
UNIT are overseeing in a security capacity, is attempting to drill into the Earth's crust to gain access to Stahlman's
Gas - thought to be able to provide lots of cheap energy - when it all starts to go wrong: out comes some toxic green
slime that quickly mutates those it comes into contact with into vicious, primeval creatures and then the Doctor
(trying to repair the TARDIS console) is accidently transported into a parallel universe, where Britain is a fascist
republic... How ever will the Third Doctor save the day?
|
7th Week |
Thursday 1st March, 8pm
Atomic Pizza, 274 Cowley Rd |
- DocSoc Meal
- This term, we visit the sister restaurant of Atomic Burger: Atomic Pizza! Let the geeky food fun begin!
|
Saturday 3rd March, 12 pm
Old Law Library, Magdalen |
- River Song Marathon
- For this term's marathon, we will be attempting to watch all the episodes of the new series in
which River Song, a.k.a. Melody Pond and Mels, makes an appearance. There's just one catch: we will be following
River's timeline, not the Doctor's, so join us to see if her story is any less or indeed more confusing from her
chronological point of view!
|
8th Week |
Thursday 8th March, 8pm
Daubeny Lecture Theatre, Magdalen |
- Time and the Rani
- Time and the Rani kicks off with a bang - quite literally: not only is the Sixth Doctor
regenerating into the Seventh, but at the same time, the TARDIS is attacked in-flight by the renegade Time Lady, the
Rani, causing it to crash-land. Disorientated and confused in his post-regenerative state, not only is the Doctor
separated from Mel (our joy is short-lived, however, as the Rani impersonates her) but the Rani also tricks him into
helping her build a time manipulator.
